The Municipal Health Services Division performs routine inspections, special inspections and monitoring on residential and business premises to identify health risks and implement preventative and remedial actions. This includes complaints from the public regarding the following:
Refuse removal.
Medical and hazardous waste.
Industrial and building waste.
Household and garden waste.
Illegal dumping.
Recycling.
Waste removal and control of landfill sites is the responsibility of the Solid and Waste Management Sub-Directorate.
